BarryKeymasterUpdated now to include The Vibe, SHO’ Nuff, Tight Box plus any corrections.
Note that all Docs are also on the Guides Page and Shop links.
@ Jon you are correct. I updated the Doc. Thank you for that!
BarryKeymasterVery nice! I seem to know those pedals well.
BarryKeymasterThanks Wilkie and Gus!
Here are the current four complete build documents for our 2021 Boards
Please check them out. I hope the resolution is good also while still maintaining a relatively small file size.
BarryKeymaster@ Aviator Thanks for the update that is obviously very good to know and why I am putting this stuff out there.
That will be a quick and easy update. I award you with a new Avatar, Aviator.
So what do you guys think of the Populated Board image for troubleshooting purposes?
BarryKeymasterYes a quick Forum search indicates we updated this board to 27k to add a little extra Volume to the circuit.
I was personally fine with 100K but 27k added more.
Either way all is well and I will fix the Doc.

BarryKeymasterThe only reason to mention a battery in the build document is so that people do not use a depleted battery when biasing. Honestly it should say “Do not ever use a battery”.
On the Boogie are you sure you are biasing the correct matching pair (trimmer / transistor).
Also how does it sound?
BarryKeymasterThanks Big-O.

BarryKeymaster+1 on the JFET. You can actually start a fire or at least burn your finger with those with only 9v by inserting them backwards. For me there are some unknown elements. The other circuit, not being able to see everything clearly as well as the P-split.
I highly suggest using the right tool for this particular job which is the Paramix.

BarryKeymasterI will have the new ones in a few days.
BarryKeymasterApologies as I have been losing sleep trying to get 30 new build docs done in the next two weeks for all updated boards. With that said any assistance I can get in the forum is appreciated at this time especially.
So Voltages are correct or close enough for all 8 pins un-socketed. I am wondering if your chip is bad because when you do install the chip your voltages turn very bad. Also check for bridges somewhere. I would use light and a scraper to go between any questionable areas. The same can be said for a bad solder joint although I know I asked you to re-flow.
BarryKeymasterThat is sweet!!!
Thanks for sharing.

I removed the cheeky comment.
In the future I wouldn’t tag on the end of an old “solved” post. It may have been overlooked.
Someone is here everyday. That v2 version was a long time ago.
We do have two Databases (old & new) on the Guides Page. I just forgot to add that one.
Here it is:

BarryKeymasterInverting the MPF102 could have ruined it. Try another JFET. MPF102, 2N5457 or J201 all have the same orientation as the silk-screen on the board.
BarryKeymasterYour voltages are way off for the V3207 chip. Not sure what is going on here.
Remove the chip and test voltages in the empty socket then report back.
BarryKeymasterVery Nice and thanks for sharing!
BarryKeymasterTo the Ring Lug of the Stereo Input Jack and the available Lug of the Power Jack.
