BarryKeymasterGo to the Guides Page for anything you are not familiar with.
There is a Capacitor Code chart for you.
BarryKeymasterThe yellow caps are MLCC (multi layer ceramic) which are not exactly the same as the orange ones and either are fine for any build. For convenience our boards use a 5mm lead spread which is good for both Film and MLCC.
I carry both MLCC kits and Film cap kits in my shop.
You would be extremely hard pressed to hear any difference in a capacitor of the same value in a circuit despite what they are made of. There are many YouTube videos to demonstrate that.
Guitar pedals are also not what I would consider Hi-Fi and in a band situation whatever you may have thought you heard would quickly disappear.
That is my .02 on the matter. I hope that helps.
BarryKeymasterWhen people post they do not always use my name or even a relative name for their build.
So this will likely limit your searches.
Here are a few images from a quick glance.

This does not count any PURPs built in a Combo Box or ones from my collection.
Maybe now the next search will result in more PURP finds 😉
That said it would be nice if more people posted their build photos as well.
You will find my boards in the strangest places sometimes:

BarryKeymasterSEO = Search Engine Optimization

BarryKeymasterThat’s what happens when you get your site in order with SEO.
BarryKeymasterIf you want to make all your searches specifically PDF files then include PDF in your search.
So:
GuitarPCB 2N3053 PDF

BarryKeymasterHow about “why did I buy that 5k6 resistor”
??

BarryKeymasterAre you sure you are not expecting too much out of the Decay setting?
Check out this demo of a commercial version.
I have the video set for the Decay section. There is no tonal change just timing.
You may need to up a video to show us beyond that.
BarryKeymasterWell Done!
People really need to catch on to running effects in parallel.
There are so many advantages.
Namely not having one affect the other.
For dirt I can have 3 different guitar tones simultaneously. A wall of sound.
For delay the fact you can have two delays at the same time when one delay does not affect the other is awesome.
For example I could have a reverb like slap-back and a long guitar god solo delay simultaneously. One will not affect the other. This is all possible by either using the Buff N Blend like you did or by using the more versatile Paramix.
The possibilities are really endless. My secret weapon!
BarryKeymaster5.7v is fine
BarryKeymasterThere are more tonal options with the Angry Charlie. But if the Marsha gets it done then there it is. Of course you could always Tone TwEQ the Marsha Drive.
BarryKeymasterThey are part of the Chip shortage so it is hard to say.
I have been actively looking for alternatives as well.
BarryKeymasterExcellent troubleshooting!
BarryKeymasterA few boards slipped past my radar a long while back. They had lug 1 and 3 reversed.
My apologies.
If you wish to change that you will need to reverse lugs 1 and 3 by hand wiring a potentiometer. That would be the only solution. Not a difficult fix.
BarryKeymasterThe problem is there is too much gain present especially when using them in tandem.
The best way to do that is to cut back on the available gain. By gain I am not meaning distortion but actual gain.
The problem is not necessarily with one circuit or the other so you will need to decide which is likely the bigger offender.
BarryKeymasterVery Nice!
Thank you for sharing.
I do have sets of the actual diodes used in the original KOT although I am not sure if anyone is interested in that or not.
BarryKeymasterSweet stuff!
Thanks for sharing.
