BarryKeymasterVery nice and thanks for sharing!
I also enjoyed the videos.
BarryKeymasterAt a glance I see a problem on the back solder joints.
I would reflow most joints. They should not be that big and round. That can result in a cold solder joint. Notice in the photo with the pink arrow pointing to a joint that was cold and separated from the board. Hold the fine conical tip to the pad and lead and allow the solder to absorb into the pad hole. Then lift up along the lead so there is not that much solder left behind.

BarryKeymasterMore folks will come to your rescue if you post the photos directly here so they do not have to travel elsewhere to look for photos as well as being able to look at all photos at once.
Use the picture frame tool in the tool bar to upload your photos.

I would also rotate images so it is easier to check with proper orientation.

BarryKeymasterWow that is nice. Thanks for sharing!
BarryKeymasterBethlehem Steel?
Awesome! Love it.
BarryKeymasterI would consider maybe a 1590DD Fuzz Combo Build.
You can put 3 Fuzz circuits in one enclosure and have space for all of the Mods you want like “Voltage Starve”, “Emerald Ring” and Easy Order switcher for all of the Fuzz stacking greatness and nastiness you could get into a single enclosure. You would obviously still maintain all of the simple Fuzz greatness as well.
BarryKeymasterAwesome to hear and see.
Thanks for sharing!
BarryKeymasterIf I had NPN Germanium I think I would also try using them in some other circuits like Sriracha, Muff’n, DSOTM or whatever and see what that sounds like. One of the best ever Muffs I built was an NPN Germanium build using the gain ranges of the 1st Muffs instead much higher like the later ones.
BarryKeymasterThis is a must have on any pedal board.
Thanks for sharing. It looks great!
BarryKeymasterLooks great and thanks for sharing!
I like the tone of this one a lot.
BarryKeymasterQu’est-ce que la “distorsion absolue”? Je ne vends pas un circuit imprimé qui s’appelle ainsi.
Si vous avez un problème avec un circuit imprimé que vous avez acheté ici, veuillez me le faire savoir.
BarryKeymasterSomething in the 35-64 range sounds about right. The fact is that many people 20 years ago could afford to be picky about choices of gain but that is not the case anymore since these Germanium transistors have been obsolete for 30 years and cherry picked all throughout.
The thing is that it is not as absolutely critical as some would make it out to be. The transistor does its job that it is designed to do and as long as it is in the range of achieving that it will be fine.
I have played every fuzz circuit known with every transistor known and I would consider myself a bit of an expert through many years of experience and I can tell you that a lot of opinions regarding the differences remind me of my friend the cork sniffer.
The Fuzz Face circuit itself has used so many different transistors for 40 years ranging from Low Gain to Extremely High Gain and everything in between. The point is that they all work and of course everyone will have an opinion but now that it is the year 2022 it is much harder to be as particular of a number that is not really that critical to great tone.
My point is that if you need a lower gain transistor then you got the right place. While I still have stock of course.
Around here we say “socket and see”. That is the best advice.
I hope that helps.
BarryKeymasterHi Big O.
The trimmer is in series. If you have a CLR at the CLR pads then you would need to put a jumper between lugs 1 and 3 of the trimmer section.
BarryKeymasterI think I should note that I use Inkscape which is FREE and it works perfectly for these.
Like anything else it takes a little effort to learn but there are plenty of YouTube videos to get you going quickly.
BarryKeymasterYes that is the GBD or Guitar Bass Driver which is why I was not sure but guessed it was it from your killer svt drive. Our circuits are all basically analog so I was confused about the tone generator comment.
So that is an overdrive. It is the Preamp only so yes it has a lot of Gain. The clean tones will come from whatever amp you are using with it.
BarryKeymasterThis is a valuable tool and I fully support Eric so grab a copy!
BarryKeymasterYes I should have led with that.
Here you go.
