Fired this one up last weekend and have been playing with clipping diodes and settings since – not really finally done but close enough. I shamelessly stole Steve Miller’s distortion pot mod – a variation on the switch mentioned in the build document – see his post The Wrath of KLON ( My MKC ) from February 21. My current clipping diodes are a pair of 3mm water clear green LEDs – I auditioned a pair of white stripe D9Es and blue stripe 1N34As sourced from Barry, a pair of black stripe Russians purchased as 1N34As several years ago, a pair of TFK OA128s, a pair of BAT47s, a pair of 1N4001s, and a pair of 5mm yellow LEDs.

    Thanks for looking,
