I built this a few months ago but wanted to post this build after reading Luckbad’s post in the support section.

I present you the Horse Breaker- heavily inspired by a similar pedal out there.  I wanted a Klon/BB combo but thought I’d add a few other bells and whistles to make it stand out.

The Klon side is a standard build with the bass boost mod and the separate clean/dirty gain pots.  I used a on-on toggle with the GPCB DPDT wiring board to add the Ultra-Drive mod to select between the standard 47k and the 8.2k resistors.  It’s a fantastic mod that makes your Klon rip!

The Blues Buster side has the treble trimmer swapped for an external pot.  I also added the GPCB Afterblaster with the 2N5457 transformer for the M Glory Mod.  I used an external on-on toggle instead of the DIP switches to give the option to turn it on or off.  Lastly, the Afterblaster volume pot was swapped with an internal trimmer for a “set and forget” level- I’m not sure if I could have fit another knob on the pedal.

Finally, I used the GPCB Easy Order Switching PCB to change which side comes first in the chain.  Everything was wedged into a 1590BB enclosure, painted rattle can copper, and finished with waterslide graphics made on GIMP software.

It’s a monster pedal.  I liked it so much I built a second a gifted it to a friend for a milestone birthday- the first pedal I ever made for someone other than me.  It was a blast to build and even more fun to play.

Here are the pics to prove it happened.

I think you did everything right here.

Fully modded Klon style circuit with a Bluesbreaker/Afterblaster circuit and order switching.

Perfect! I bet this sounds awesome and is extremely versatile.
