Looks good man!  1n34 diodes can come in many different colors and packages.  There is a site called Pedalhacker.com that sells Ge diodes specifically for the Klon (D9E is the model the real Klons use) as well as many different Ge diode models including several 1N34 styles.  Good luck!

Awesome!  Super clean and you have much better handwriting than I do…I could never pull that off.

Thanks guys!  They do indeed sound killer and probably the ones I stomp on the most.  Love them with Bass as well!

Thanks guys!  This one was a lot of fun to build, and it sounds awesome!  In fact, I gotta go play… 🙂

Wonderful read, and masterfully done!  One question – what is the Pi mod, and can it still be done to the v3.5 boards? I am assuming that it  replaces the tone stack as you said it causes the mid scoop mod to become moot (and mute) but I don’t see that mod called out in the build doc.

    Thanks!

Looks great Chuck!  One of my first pedals was also the GGG BB and I have also built several of the Aion model as well, but as you hinted at – the beauty of the Blues Buster is in its simplicity (comparatively) while still having some excellent options and killer tone.  I really like the “brushed” finish as well, nice look!

Here are a few for some circuits/combos I didn’t see above:

    PlexiPlus + Tone TwEQ

    KotB

    Black Dog + Stage3 + order switcher

    Boogie57

    GBD2

    SWAH

    Mini-Me + Buff’nBlend

    Super Lead Drive + RotoTone

    Sabotage

I may have gotten photo happy lol

Got around to making a “name plate” for this so I thought I’d share.

hmm, it may…thats a nice idea! That would be interesting to see if i could pull that off (it woulda prob been easier had I centered the toggle switch hole between the text…doh!). It would be real cool if it were one of those flexi-switches that is momentary if you hold it, and latches if you click it – that would be awesome for that moment of shriekery lol

    Thanks guys!

The octave is a great addition to this circuit!  I thought about wiring it within the Fuzz loop so that it was only accessible from there….but why not leave the options open ended? hehe  Barry, having it on a footswitch would be really nice, I may try to work that out if I do another for someone.

Barry, thank you!  I googled the pinouts and realized my mistake.  I was in the middle of flipping them when you posted and was going to update my post to solved.  You are so freaking fast to help out!  It works like a charm now – great grab and go jam solution.

The BC239 does sound very nice, btw.

That’s a lot to cram into what looks to be a BB, nicely done!  I love the idea of using the ST and S3 together to build a custom boost. And you must have a similar day-job as I do – I know your saying well! lol

Thanks mybud!  That’s a cool idea! For something like that I may need to figure out how to cram one of Barry’s Emerald Ring octave circuits in there for the full…Experience. lol  🙂
