    Hi all,

I first built a pedal. Just finished building a Mowah kit inside an old CryBaby. I love it. By the way, got rid of the heel click by arranging cables inside and using 2 tiny coaxial cables, getting their shields together as the 3rd signal.

The question. Using the pedal vs not doesn’t miss a lot of volume, just a bit, but the gain gets drastically reduced. I talk about the crunch, lead and ultra channels of a Hughes and Kettner Grandmeister 36. So there is a lot of gain. Crunch sounds like clean, and lead and ultra just a bit of distorsion.

I am not using the effects loop, I plug directly to the input.

Is it normal? Is it that the wah shall only be used with OD/distorsion pedals into a clean channel?

    Thanks and take care.

UPDATE: The problem was my problem, the cable from pedal to the amp is a crap and took most of the signal away.

Now, with all the gain it is just awesome.

Ps: if anybody needs help with the heel click, I’ll be pleased to show how it was solved in my case but, to summarise, better routing and cable isolation.

When problems defy the laws of physics always check your cables.
