howdy! i’m building an emexar soon, and was wondering if there’s a way that one might be able to modify it such that you can select between both configurations (aka between the 250/distorition+ modes)? would that be possible with an extra switch and this board somehow? it’s not a deal-breaker if it’s not possible, just wondering if anyone out there has done this (or can point me in the right direction for figuring it out).

    thanks!

Yes.  I don’t think you need to change R1 as you probably wouldn’t hear any difference.  You can use a 4PDT switch to wire the different components.  You will need 4 poles to change the following:

    1–D1, D2 cane change a pair of diodes from 1N34A TO 1N4148.

    2– R3 change from 1M to 470K.

    3–C5 change from 1u to 4u7.

4–C1 change from 1n to empty.

If 2 DPDT wiring boards will not fit side by side on a 4PDT switch, you may be able to use one of them on the switch.

I’m not sure if you will hear much of a difference in tone but that may depend on your other gear.
