So it sat as a naked enclosure until the announcement of the panels. I pulled this one out of the rig and painted it orange. The knobs and LEDs are coordinated and it all looks great with the plate.</p>

My 70&#8217;s British side sounds amazing but my Boost is all funny: With Range fully CCW I get some signal, and with it CW its muted. Tore it all apart and found a resistor leg trapped on the PCB and shorting out the sound! Check your work. Now its fully operational and I love it. <p>I agree with another poster about board mounted pots. Even when it calls for them I tend to hand wire them. Partially because I don&#8217;t always want the layout but mostly because the stress of getting the drilling template right is annoying.</p>

And while I like the occasional tonal tweak, overall I haven&#8217;t found it to be super useful. 									<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Barry does this a lot with clipping diode markings- if you look at it, one option is for LEDs, with the flat side of the bulb lining up with the drawing. If you chose a BAT41s or a 34, you’d match the line on the diode with the line on the PCB. Very clever.</p>

That said, look through the shop, the GBOF is a super versatile board with a lot of fuzzes available with low part counts. Maybe a One Knob Fuzz for something more&#8230; spelled out if you will. Depends on how deep you want to go.</p>

I’ll have pics tomorrow but for now I’m getting distortion on the tails of the verb if I hit it too hard. Clean signal going in and individual notes sound ok, but if I hold a chord the slap back is overdriven. Has anyone experienced that before?
