GuestGood day all
I have Minime Chorus, that is working good for about 10-15 seconds, before the effect starts to fade away into no effect, only dry signal. Both pots seems to work in the time the effect works. I have not put in in an enclosure yet, so only aligator clips to jacks and power. If i leave the pedal for a day, and then try again, the effect comes back, before it fades. Leaving me to think it might be a bad cap?I guess i have to ad that on my first test, i had the ground and signal wire reversed on the jack connection. As i was following the drawing without checking that it actually matched my jack.. So the output signal went to ground and ground to the output. It was not powered for long like this. Please tell me if you would like some messurements, and from where.

BarryKeymasterCrossing the audio wiring would not have affected your capacitors.
I would start by re-flowing all of the solder pads on the back of the board. Carefully lift the pots and get behind those as well.
Heat the solder till it is shiny and let each of them cool on their own. Have some solder handy to add a bit more where needed.
I would do that before looking for a bad capacitor.

GuestThanks, i’ve done it to a few, mostly the caps, will start with the rest. What really throws me off is the fact that it works. Before it gives up.

GuestI have now reflowed all soldering padds, but no luck. Still sounding good at first, before fading away.

BarryKeymasterDo you have the trimmer dialed in to perfection.
It is a very narrow setting between effect and no effect.

GuestYeah, I have tried to set it both by ear, and left it where the effect is active, in the beginning. also meassured the V and set it to 4.5V. I’ve tried to change the trimpot after the effect is gone. There is some audible change in the middle part of the tripmot, but just slight.

BarryKeymasterNext I would redo the Audio wiring. In and Out.
Make sure the wire pvc is flush with the board and it is a solid connection.

Also make sure the back of the pots are not making contact with the main board.
