GuestHi I have a Ratt Deluxe v 4.5 Board and I get no sound at all.
When I insert a Plug from a Behringer TD-3-MO Audio-Out to the Input i can see the red LED barely flickering while playing.
Reminder: It was too late and I destroyed the conductor at D6 so i soldered the Diode D6 direct to +.
I am not sure if C3 and C4 are right in place, but I am quite sure that this is not the problem with absolutely no sound.
What I tested so far:
I measured 9V on IC PIN 7 and C11 so the D6 fix should be fine.
I measured ~4.5 Volts on IC Pin 6.
Any ideas?

BillyModeratorCheck your input jack is wired correctly and you haven’t accidentally mixed the ring and tip connections up see image below simply insert a jack and follow the connections around to their solder lugs
You don’t require C3 for an OP07 it has internal compensation you can either just leave it or snip it out
All you component values and orientation that I can see look correct where did you get your JFET from for Q1

GuestHi Billy,
I triple checked the jacks now and even tried to connect them in other direction. No sound, not even cracklings.
The JFET was in the Set – 2N5088
EDIT: And as I see now.. the 2N5088 is completely different from 2N5459 which it should be. 0_0

GuestOkay, i tried a 2N5457 and it is working now!!
Hrmpf, that was hard to find, good that you asked for the JFET.
I am not sure if the 2N5088 is broken or impossible to work with. Did I get a wrong part?
I ordered the set directly from Musikhaus, germany.

BillyModeratorA 2N5088 wouldn’t work as a buffer without modifying the circuit It’s a completely different pinout, transistor type etc a 2N5088 is a BJT vs 2N5459 a JFET ones current controlled the other voltage
You should let Klaus at musikding know I’m sure he’ll send you a JFET

GuestThanks for explanation.
Of course, Musikding, sorry for misspelling, if you´re reading this. 😀
But no need for a JFET, I already ordered 2x JFET and 2x IC on Ebay. (I was hoping that at least one of them would arrive quickly. (Yea, <24h was pretty fast))
