Got a touch frustrated with another project and needed to think about/work on something else. Grabbed my Super Sonic 02 (again) to try some mods. This one was first “completed” in January 2018 in a 1590B enclosure with side jacks, in 2020 I started migrating favored older builds into 125B enclosures with top jacks and this one ended up in a light gold Tayda box. As originally built this one had a nice smooth texture but tended to be a bit dark-ish. Last night I realized that I had a spare short shaft DPDT and a DPDT Wiring Board as well as some BAT41s, a couple 2N7000s and the original 1N34As I used in the initial build. Since I ignored the AB pads in the original build and later rebox I decided to give it a third mucking up. The DPDT board is fully socketed so the changes can be changed but, for now there are 3 Bat41s on one side with a 1N34A and 2 2N7000s on the other side. The 1N34A/2N7000 combo is not as dark as the original pair of 1N34As and the Bat41s are a touch brighter than 1N34A/2N7000s. I’m pondering adding a pair of LEDs to the original sockets on the main board.

    Here’s the box:

    And the guts:

Barry currently has the newer version of Super Sonics and DPDT boards on sale for almost nothing. Just saying.

    Thanks for looking,

    Chuck
