    Hi,

I purchased a SWAW V3 board many years ago and I am unable to find the build docs for it.

I did find the V3b doc at the following link :

    https://www.yumpu.com/en/document/read/45808727/swah-v3-guitarpcbcom

In the V3b doc it mentions “Please note that the old V3, needs a single Jumper Wire. See Layout Gallery”

Unfortunately, the Layout Gallery link doesn’t work.

Could someone give me a link to the build doc or even just tell where the jumper wire needs to go.

    Thank you very much.

    Hi again,

    Thanks for the quick reply.

The link you posted brings me to the SWAW V2 hand etched board docs.

I’m actually looking for the SWAW V3 printed circuit board build doc.

There seems to have been 2 versions of this board sold. The original V3 which needed a jumper wire and the V3b which did not.

As I mentioned previously, I was able to find the V3b build doc, which mentions that a jumper is needed on the V3 PCB.

Any idea where that jumper might go?

    Thanks again.

    Tom

It looks to me like a jumper is needed between the 2 empty pads on either side of C10.

At a glance it just connects the traces from the CLR R31 to the Anode of the status LED if you decide to use the on-board LED location. Nothing else is affected.

I recall this pretty well, because tonmann and Barry called me when someone had posted about lack of sweep on the wah effect, and I had recently built it myself.

The easiest place to put this jumper is from the “extra pad” of TR1 (pad 2) to  the right pad (near board edge) of D5. Without this, the wah sweep only happens when you strum at full volume, really hard. The IC3 voltage regulator output (which connects to the right pad of D3 via a short trace) needs to be fed to the bottom pad of Q2 and Q3.

The highlighted blue trace was the fix in the v3B circuit board. The middle part of this trace didn’t exist on v3 (see build document or previous post in this thread for v3 PCB image with all traces).
