GuestI just got my 60s Nostalgitone in the mail yesterday (with more Tube Screaming Ultras!!!), and as I went in to grab the documentation, I saw the link to the Tayda drill templates.
Absolutely fantastic to have, especially for a build as large as this. But I was also wondering if there are more templates to come. I know PedalPCB has several generic ones (for 3 and 4 hole knob builds). I know the knob layout is somewhat different on the Guitarpcb boards (putting them too close to the power jack at the top of the enclosure, and slightly narrower together), but I would love to be able to order a bunch of 3 and 4 hole enclosures that will fit the GuitarPCB circuits. I currently have about 13 circuits from GuitarPCB getting ready for the build. Having drilling templates on Tayda would be amazing.

BarryKeymasterYes I plan on that soon. It is obviously a good idea.
Its not going to be this week, but soon. I will put out a notice when I do.

Big OParticipantThank you Barry. This is an excellent idea, but a lot of work to implement.
I have been using Tayda enclosures for awhile now. Their powder coated enclosures are a good deal and I have adopted some of the Pedal PCB drilled ones for some pedals, although they don’t really work for GPCB boards except for ones you use solder lug pots.

Guest<hr />
Yeah, I’m currently drilling mine and I’m happy to continue. No hurry. It’s just so awesome to be able to just get them here pre drilled. Many thanks

PlaysforfunModeratorBarry, I sent Admin a link (Dropbox) to my collection of drill templates. All pdf files. Some may have been modified by me but should be useful to others I hope.

GuestJust revisiting this. Have there been more templates added (no pressure, just checking)

BarryKeymasterNot yet. Keep checking back maybe a few weeks after the dreaded tax day.

GuestRevisiting here again, have any Tayda drill templates been created? Would love to get some ordered

BarryKeymasterUnfortunately, the old Legacy PCBs can’t be directly converted to a Tayda-compatible format or they would have all been done. They were originally designed on an inch grid that was also off-center, meaning everything needs to be realigned to the origin and converted. Additionally, since the potentiometers weren’t placed with their shafts as the center point, their drill locations must be manually adjusted, adding to the complexity.
