Have a mini me chorus that I built with the Cool Audio MN3207

It works but the Depth pot introduces a strange screetchy/thumping sound (almost sounds like someone scrating the needle on an LP record back and forth).  It is quiet for about the 1st 25% of the depth pot (and chorus works aalong with responsive rate pot) and then from about 25% thru 75% of pot travel the noise shows up and then goes away for 75% – 100% of depth pot rotation.

I’m testing it in a test rig now (not boxed yet) and I cut the In and Out leads as short as I could because I;ve read on here that those can introduce noise but didn’t change.

I tried it with a regular MN3207 that I had and didn’t change so not that.

Any thoughts before I start poking around with the audio probe ??

    Thanks

Confirm that you have the second ground point (G2) connected.

    Hi-

Yes I have both ground points connected. Thanks.

If you are hearing this noise while the DEPTH pot is being turned, I suspect it is due to DC voltage within the pot, or even a faulty pot.  The location of the ground wires may contribute to this as well.
