Been making pedals on and off for a while now (mostly off)

So I have a real old Muff’n board – maybe from 2014 or so that I’ve started and stopped too many times now and I’m trying to finish it.  I have some hand written notes about putting a 5K pot in place of R23 which is between Q4 and ground.  I can’t find anything in build documents on why I would do this.  Can someone shed some light on if that is a worthwhile mod or maybe I wrote down the wrong resistor to make variable?

    Thanks

That particular resistor would affect the gain of that stage obviously Q1 here

Oh yes, this graphic looks familiar – much appreciated.

Does anyone have a picture of a blank board from old version?  It is the style used in the famous Klingon Muff where the top corners have cut out notches.

I finally have the intial wiring done, but no sound comes out, but since my components cover most of the PCB labels I can’t really tell where I should be checking.  I’m just hoping for a picture of an empty board so I can do some tracing.

    Thanks
