This might sound silly, but does anyone know about the killer SVT drive pcb? Does it have an overdrive? Or is it just an svt tone generator. Other pcb outlets have an svt pcb that boasts its overdrive. This does not… Or am I just supposed to know that am svt preamp pcb of course overdrive the signal?

Sorry, I am totally confused at what board we are talking about and the exact question.

I do not offer a “killer svt” PCB. I do have a Guitar/Bass Driver PCB that is based on an SVT which is a preamp that has 9 stages of overdrive or Gain which is shown in the schematic and included with the build document.

<p style=”padding-left: 40px;”>Hey, that bad boy. 9 gain stages! This thing must overdrive by default. Haha. Killer SVT, literally. Thanks! Can’t wait. This one is going to Alan Roberts, Life of Agony Bassist. His fav sound is rage against the machine evil empire. Gonna have this svt preamp and a cranky Charles in 1 enclosure. That’s supposed to he the secret sound of that album. We’ll see.</p>

Yes that is the GBD or Guitar Bass Driver which is why I was not sure but guessed it was it from your killer svt drive. Our circuits are all basically analog so I was confused about the tone generator comment.

So that is an overdrive. It is the Preamp only so yes it has a lot of Gain. The clean tones will come from whatever amp you are using with it.
