    Hello,

I would like to use the paramix for adding backing tracks (or songs) on the guitar signal. The mixer is a part of an ampless rig (cabsim + mixer + headphone amp). Though I do not need stereo up to the headphone I wouldn’t like to loose part of the song/backing track. I understand from the schematic that the return entry used is mono. Would there be a mean to gather both signals (stereo left and right) to a unique signal?

    Thanks,

    Nicolas

Yes.  You can combine the L and R signals into a mono signal using a variety of wiring methods and adapters.  Then apply that signal to the RETURN of the Paramix.  The Paramix will then mix that signal to your guitar.  It also has a phase correction switch that I don’t think you will need.  The WET VOL of the Paramix will control the level of your added signal.

    Hello Wilkie,

Thanks for your answer. Would you advise active mixing or do you think passive mixing would be enough?

The Paramix provides active mixing in that the opamp can boost the signal levels as well as cut them.  Passive mixing can only reduce levels.
