    So I put another Black Dog together today and it won’t give me any distortion. The EQ works, the volume works, but the gain pot does nothing and it’s just acting as a clean boost. Any thoughts?

    Yes, post some clear photos.

    Voltage readings might also be helpful.

    So when I took it apart to take pictures, I saw that the legs of the gain pot were touching the volume pot, so I spread them apart and now I’m getting a helicopter chopper type sound whenever I engage the pedal.

    I messed with it some more and now it works fine… beats me. Thanks anyways!
