Hi New here and have two questions. Both questions are related to the 3PDT Vari-Brite LED board.
Question 1) I already have common cathode LED’s. The build calls for common Anode. Can I use the common cathode led I have on hand and just switch the power (Neg from main board to Pos of 3PDT Vari-Brite)?
Question 2) how can I tell if the board is in bypass (ie the red LED should be on?) For instance when the Red led should be on, you get a connection between I and O or a connection between BO and O?
Or scrap all this messing around, don’t be cheap and just buy some common anode LED’s? 🙂

I’d just buy common anode it’ll save messing around
If you look at the build doc LED section you’ll see how to recognise the red side, middle pin is common anode shortest outer pin effect on colour and medium outer pin red or bypass colour shown below
The red side cathode would connect to the bottom bypass 3PDT row because you’re using the vari brite pcb you would place that side in the white boxed solder pad
If you switched power all of your ground connections would be affected including your in and out jack grounds all your grounds are connected to each other so as you say much easier to go with common anode
