I’m building a Boogie 57 combo with a couple other boards and ran out of 220nf caps.  Had one for C16 but don’t have another one for C17.  Are there any other values that would work there?  Thanks.

You’d need something fairly large like the 220n

That cap will affect the bass and mids strictly speaking any capacitor will work a larger value will allow more lows and smaller more highs

You could add capacitors in parallel e.g. two 100n would give you 200n

It doesn’t look great though but if you can’t wait it’ll be pretty close

Remember capacitors have a tolerance rating so you may get a coupla 100nfs a little over

If I use paralell caps I usually cut one caps legs short, leave the other long twist and solder them together near the top of the legs

So it’s like one is riding piggy back on the other.  I have a 150n and 68n.  I measured them and got 218.3n, so I’m happy with that although, like you said, it doesn’t look great but it will have to do for now.  Thanks Billy.

Here are a couple of pictures.  I think it will work.  I will be testing the circuit today.
