Hi folks. So I’m soldering my very first pcb today (The Easy fuzz from musikding), and I have a question.

On 2 solder joints I accidentally put a little too much solder and now one side of a resistor is touching the solder joint of the other.

This also happened with one resistor solderjoint touching one joint of the trimpot.

See picture attached, next to the red lines. I already tried heating the excess tin between them and gently wipe it away. I hope that did the trick but not sure.

Sorry if my solderingwork looks messy. It’s my very first time. 😀 thank you for your time!

Tom you can as you say melt the solder and gently wipe it away

If you have a multimeter you can check continuity to see if they’re still in contact

If you look at the schematic you’ll see the trimmer does have 2 legs connected as it’s being used as a variable resistor

Barry also has a soldering video on the guides page

Thanks Billy. I have indeed watched Barry’s video and studied all the beginner guides.

I’ll need to get a multimeter to check, don’t have one yet.

Got myself a DMM and there is no continuity between either of the soldering joints/legs. Hurray!
Now on to wiring the pcb and crank it up.
