    I realize this is probably a dumb question, but the square pad for the D3 and D4 LEDS are for the anode, correct? Thanks!

    Yep!  Notice the flat side of the LED symbol?  That indicates the CATHODE.  The opposite lead is therefore, the ANODE.The rhyme goes like this:

    FLAT CAT.  Sometimes the anode lead is longer than the cathode.  But, to be safe, use the FLAT CAT method.  Not all pc boards will use a different shape for the leads.  Bruce does for Barry’s boards.

    BTW.  There are no dumb questions here.  Sometimes there are dumb answers.  But we try to keep those to a minimum.

    To do my part to uphold wilkie1’s “Sometimes there are dumb answers” if you take careful measurements you can drill a couple holes in the face of your box and mount the LEDs on the back of the board so they poke through just a bit.  When you’re really leaning into it they will flash with your power cords.
