hey all….going to begin wiring a Paramix board here soon, but need to know how I would incorporate 3PDT wiring boards into the build.  I came up with this roadmap, but I am not sure that it’s accurate for the Kill, Bypass, and Wet switches.

Let me know what I did wrong, before I start soldering and make mistakes….the Wet switch is the one that’s the most confusing.  For the kill, I assumed that the middle lugs on the DPDT are ground, and the the “on positions are BI and BO.  Like I said, the Wet Switch is the most confusing for me…

You do not need to use 3PDT wiring boards for the KILL or WET switches.  Both of these use DPDT switches.  See the wiring for these switches in the build document. You may want to use momentary foot switches instead of latching type.

    thanks

I did see that note in the build document, but also read the note stating that if I wanted to use leds for them that I’ll need 3PDT switches. That’s as far as the note mentions it, not providing how to wire them….and figuring if I was using 3PDT switches, I might as well take advantage of abundance of boards I have available…for ease of use.

You cannot use one of Barry’s 3PDT wiring board for the WET switch or the KILL switch because the board has a trace inside that connects lug 3 and lug 9.  This would short out the WET signal or DRY signal if used.  You should use a regular stomp DPDT switch for this function.

You can use regular 3PDT switches WITHOUT the wiring boards for both of these functions.  Use lugs 1-3 and 7-9 for the switching and lugs 4-6 for the LED.  Lug 5 will be ground and lug 4 or 6 will go to the LED and CLR depending on when you want the LED to light.

    Gotcha…..I’ll do that, then

The build doc shows photos of a complete build done the same way (LEDs for all 3 switches), with no wiring boards whatsoever, but it’s difficult to see where the wires go to and from.

See the build doc for the bypass switch wiring.  The others are below:
