I’m looking for anyone who has experience building certain mods into the Emerald Ring circuit.  Primarily a Gain control, Null control and possibly a Volume control.  I be interested in what component values were used, etc.  I have a couple of schematics with different values.

For example: Gain controls off the emitter leg of Q1 using a B10K pot with 10uF cap to ground off Lug 2 vs. B5K pot with 100uF cap to ground off Lug 2

Null control using a B25K pot vs. a B250K pot off the Emitter of Q2 going to the 47nF cap

And A50K vs A100K Volume/Level pots at the output

I got the idea for this from the GFR Inside Looking Out solo where there appear to be fuzzed out octave up notes similar to a ring modulator effect.  This occurs about 4:30 in the 1969 Live Recording version.

I thought it might be good to stack the Tone Messer fuzz that I plan to build with the Emerald Ringer to get this effect.

I have no experience with this at all, but what about using it with a Buff N Blend.

The Emerald Ring is non-inverting so it will play nice with the Buff N Blend.

I was thinking about using the Emerald with a paramix.  I’ve got the parts for the Paramix, but I still have to put it together.

I do have a question for Barry about the Sriracha Fuzz + Emerald demo.  Was the track recorded with the Sriracha Fuzz > Emerald or Emerald >Sriracha Fuzz?

If memory serves it was probably Emerald Ring first.

If you look at the wiring diagram in the video you will see that if you flip it over as you would with the real pedal it would be Emerald Ring first as well.
