Not only was the DSOTM my first pedal project, it’s the first time I ever used a soldering iron. I still can’t believe it worked when I plugged it in that first time! Many thanks to Barry for his help in the Build Support section.

    Quick video demo

The video is Fender American Pro Jaguar -> DSOTM fuzz -> Orange Thunderverb 50 -> Meris Polymoon (in FX loop)

With your high build standard, the sky’s the limit. Obviously, what you next build will depend on what kind of sound you have in mind to explore.

FWIW here are some of my favourites: Angry Llama, Black Dog, the T-Drive (all of which I have breadboarded and they sound great to my ears). More preamps-wise, the Guitar/Bass driver v2 and the Sunn-T both are fairly complex but versatile circuits. The MORC compressor also works well and minimally colours the signal. You could also try the pumped up Rangemaster, simple but excellent sound-wise.

If you’re feeling really adventurous, try the Dr Phybes phaser or the D’Lay. Barry has a deal on the matched quad 2N5952s for the Phybes as we speak. If you do decide on the Phybes, do by all means socket the transistors to save later grief.

Do let us know how you get on and what you decide on in due course.

    Best, mybud

Thanks all! “What’s next?” Well, now I have no excuses for not knowing every Pink Floyd solo ever written, so that’s my next task haha And Ineed to write some songs! I can’t wait to get in a rehearsal space with people again ?. But all in due time.

Gear-wise, I am SET when it comes to drive- I have a two-stage overdrive (Vox Ice9), this fuzz, and gnarly Orange amp distortion. The only thing I can think that my pedalboard may be missing is a flanger. My old one was way too big so I sold it. So maybe the MINI-ME with the Flanger-y mod? Or like mybud mentioned, the Dr Phybes could be interesting in place of where I traditionally used a flanger.

Great looking build job! Super clean and neatly wired.  Looking forward to your next one!
