    Hi,

I’m about to embark on a DSOTM fuzz as my first build. Am I correct in thinking that R14 is a current limiting resistor for the LED? If I’m wiring the LED to a 3PDT board should I leave R14 unpopulated and instead put that resistor in the CLR spot on the 3PDT board?

I realise that this is a really basic question but I’d rather ask in advance than mess it up.

    Cheers

    Richard

Yes that’s correct on both points Richard

Just for info a 3K3 would give you a fairly bright LED most folks use around 4K7 so depending on how bright you like your LEDs you can use any value from 1K8 upwards

I prefer dim LEDs and use 10K with mine if it’s a standard type LED

Take your time and enjoy creating your first pedal

    Many thanks,

Yes, I’m going to take my time, and quadruple check everything before I commit to whipping out the soldering iron.
