Ok. I’m 67 years old and I haven’t picked up a soldering iron since shop class in high school. (Yeah, there was such a thing). So please be kind.
In wiring the foot switch for the EA tremolo, does switch orientation matter? IOW there are no indicators on the switch or lugs as to which way is up so to speak. I have the kit build guide and I have read the basic build guide.
Am I making sense?

For a specific answer (although I do hope you check out our guides before building) foot switch orientation only matters in two of the four ways available to you. As for the two good ways it does not matter. Now go to page 5 of the Crash Course Guide which is found on the Guides Page. The two bad ways would just not make visible sense when looking at our guides as the solder lugs would be wrong.
Also note when you go to the Guides Page you will see a drawing diagram of how to wire the foot switch in its basic form as well although I would still read Page 5 of the Crash Course and probably the rest of it.

Hold the switch with the terminals in the horizontal position. Now the number 1 terminal is in the top left position. This will give you the correct orientation. The switch can be rotated 180 degrees and will have the same orientation. The only important point is to keep the terminals horizontal. RTFM. Our Build Guides contain detailed a description of the switch poles.
