    Ahhhh Light dependent resistor! Thats what an LDR is.

    A little research and I think I answered my own question.

    LDRs need to be gently bent over facing the LED in the centre. Is that correct?

    Thank you much to everyone who helped me. It is working!

    Barry, you were right the LEDs were orientated incorrectly. They are so small and my eyes missed it. Lesson learned!

    Thank you both. I will look into everything mentioned and let you know how it goes. I’m new at this but determined it will not beat me! I have ordered another kit in case I can’t solve the problems with this one. I will win!

    Thank you to anyone who may be able to help. There is bypass signal. The LED is working, but no effect…

    Yes, in my ignorance I have lined the inside of the enclosure with tape. Could that cause a problem?
