hahahah go celebrate…. sooooo doing backflips ATM. i think he’ll digg it. he’s a bass player, so it should work out great for him with that hint of octave added.
realize that what worked in this for ME in this case MAY never work at all in the civilized world, but whatever i had f’d up, apparently, this was the workaround.
i kept suspecting i should try a pnp in there in the first case, and was like, naaaah, thousands have built this circuit, it makes no sense.
it’s a weird planet! 😉
Jimi, it was fun reading your posts. I’m glad you got your issues resolved and found interesting mods to the fuzz. Now you made me want to try building one of these.
I also just realized who you are. I remember a YouTube video from a few years back made by a guy who built a Heathkit TA-28 circuit on vero that made me want to build one. Lo and behold, it was Jimi Photon!
I ended up building my own modified version of the circuit – my first vero build. Thanks for the inspiration!

i don’t have much time to mess around with stuff these days, the guy i work for keeps me pretty busy with his stuff, but now and again i get to bust out something new.after all these years… lol
