I have a couple of Tone Tweq boards and am thinking about adding it to an Emexar circuit – the 250 version.  Will the Tone Tweq add additional volume (boost volume somewhat)?  I have built a Distortion+ many years ago and it pretty just gets to unity gain, so I would like to get a bit more “loudness” out of the pedal.

Also, would a Tone Tweq add additional tone shaping to a Blues Power or Stage 3 Booster?  Or is it better the Stage 3 be left just as a  much clean boost?

Finally, there is no drilling template in the Blues Power document.  Would it be possible to use one of the drilling templates for one of the other 3 knob pedal PCB’s such as the Foxtrot Fuzz?  Are the 3 hole boards similar in layout when it comes to drilling hole position?

Yes, the ToneTwEQ can increase the volume of the output since it is an active EQ.  Any frequency band that has its pot set CW past noon will be boosting that band.  If set CCW from noon, the output of that band will be decreased.  If the resulting total of all three bands is positive, then the final volume output will be boosted above the input level.  The VOL pot will set the final level. This applies to all of the circuits mentioned.

I can’t answer the question about the drilling template.

All the same but here it is for that board.

The build doc is updated, thank you.

Thanks a bunch to both Wilkie and Barry for your comments and contributions to this thread.  Can’t say when these projects will be done as I have 11 build projects lined up to do right now as well as 5 pedal mods to go back and complete.
