I like this build a lot!  Sounds great!  It is just a little noisy, and I’m not sure what the trim pot is for.  There’s no mention of it in the build docs.

The trimpot is for “dialing-in” and setting the ‘wub-wub’.

I tried to fiddle a bit with the trim pot. Seems as though there almost no useable range outside of putting that trim pot dead in the center. Is that what I should expect?

There is a sweet spot on the trim pot where it works with maybe just a little not so much and too much on either side.  In most cases that is dead center.  Sounds like you got it.

Sam – I’m with Chuck on the trimpot sweet-spot. It’s usually about dead-center. It can be tweaked ever so slightly to the ear. To use a 10-turn trimpot there is ideal for dialing in the vibe.
