T-Drive Build

Finished the T-Drive and am both pleased at the over all result and confounded by the “Stock” & “Hot” switch options. The pedal sounds great to be sure. The Stock & Hot option seems to do nothing for my guitar tho. I tried all kinds of settings and cannot hear any difference between the two switch settings – even on my single-coils (neck and\or middle positions).

In any case, everything’s done but the application of the decal. So here’s the Photoshop mock-up of the finished pedal and she build shots.

 

Note the odd positioning of the protection diode. I elected to utilize a 1N5817 in series instead of a 1N4001 shunt. IMO: it’s just better protection.

 

Complete gutshot . . . . (And yes, I have holes in the bottom plate to access the dip-switch and Vari-Brite LED dimmer trimmer.)
