Hi! I’m building another Squishy Octopus v1.1 and realized that the Parts List has C9 as 220n but the schematic has it as 2n2. What is the “correct” value. I didn’t socket that component in my first build, so I can’t easily try other values. I’ve looked at a couple of photos in the forum and most have 220n (which is what I have in mine). I think it sounds great that way (which might be my answer), but wondered if anyone has thoughts on this. Thank you.

I used the BOM value (220nF) in mine and it works just fine. I chatted with Barry about it a while back and the schematic requires a correction. 220nF is the correct value.

Great. Thank you, Cybercow. I thought mine sounded just fine with 220n but I wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing even more magic.

    Thanks for the update.

I will get on that tonight. I think that happened back when I had my mini-stroke and I forgot to update it.

Gary – the 2n2F cap at C9 would still sound good with a guitar, but would sound like crap with a bass. It’s just an input filter. The 220nF makes it work for both bass and guitar.

    Barry – thanks!
