The C3 that is called for in the BOM for the Ratt Deluxe is rated at 22pF. All I have in my parts bin is a 20pF. Can I ‘assume’  that since there is a +/- tolerance factor for most of these components, that I would be ok using the 20p? If not I am just one mouse click away from placing an order from Tayda. Lol!

    Thanks, in advance…

Steve – I’ve built a number Rat Deluxe projects from Barry and found that I can use a  20pF, 22pF, 30pF or 33pF with zero issues. It’s just a compensation cap to prevent the 308 or OP07 from squealing.

Thanks gents! Before seeing your answers I had socketed that cap and was going to try the 20pF just for giggles. I did however place my order at Tayda anyway. (I let my cart get to around the $30.00 mark for misc components before I pull the trigger.) 😉
Thanks again, will post photo’s when the build is complete!
