I got the Sabotage bundle with the 3 stage booster and got the mpsa18 along with the transistors for the sabotage. Is the mpsa18 a substitute for the j113? I can’t seem to find the info.
The MPSA18 can be used in place of BC550 in the Sabotage but if you do it must be placed backwards compared to the silkscreen. No difference in tone, just pinout. When in doubt you may also google datasheets to make sure what type a transistor is and it’s pinout. In this case it would also tell you a J113 is a JFET and not an NPN transistor so it could not be a substitute for that.
