I recently built one of these and incorporated a couple of mods.

1: I put a 150kC “Attack” knob on it, replacing R17 and the switch with it. Also, deleting R18. This allows for dialing in the release like on the Boss Cs-2.

2: I removed  C8, and put it on a DPDT switch with a 200pf ceramic cap on the other side, creating a 1n/200pf post-IC filter. The 200pf cap lets a bunch of treble thru. You could use whatever sounds good to you, though.

All in all, I really like this compressor, and my knowledge of the CA3080 chipset has greatly expanded. Thanks for offering such cool boards!
