Nearly done soldering all components to the board except for one.  Since I will be using a GPCB 3PDT board, do I need to solder R7 to the board as it appears that R7 is the CLR for the LED?  In lieu of soldering the 1.8K resistor to the main board, I would rather solder it to the 3PDT board along with the LED and leave them off the main board.

    Below are the reference images.

Hope it’s okay if I answer, I’m not a moderator.  Leave R7 off the main board and put your CLR on the 3pdt.  Also, you don’t have to use a 1k8.    I use 1K for a very bright LED, and 4k7 if I want a more subdued LED.

BigO – sure. Leaving R7 off the main PCB is fine. It’s just the CLR for the main board mounted LED. So if you’re using the LED and CLR on a 3PDT daughterboard, you can leave R7 off the main board.

Jon – no worries. Any member is allowed to provide answers. Especially when they are correct answers. 😉

I was going to leave the 1.8K R7 off the board as above.  I was just confused by the diagram in the build document showing the R7 resistor on the board (circled) when using a CLR (arrow) on the 3PDT board.  It didn’t make sense to me.
