I just want to say that I was inspired to do this build by all of the combo builds posted on this forum. Although not a total GuitarPCB build I did incorporate one of Barry’s ‘mod boards’ to help make it happen!
Back in April of this year, a moderator over on the BYOC forum, suggested adding “27v Boost” to the BYOC Green Pony, (their version of a Maxon OD-820 with mods). So I took the Green Pony and boxed it up with the 27v Boost kit and the Boosted Pony was conceived. There was also a comment to have the option of switching the order of the effects. That mod was added by me as well, using a GuitarPCB Easy Order Switching board and a 3PDT toggle switch. Side bar: the moderator that had mentioned the ‘flipper switch’, wasn’t familiar with the Easy Order PCB and commented that he was going have to have “get me some of those!”. Having the extra ground pads on the switching board came in handy as I did not have to look for places to ground 3 or 4 extra wires (thanks Barry and team!). Not using the board mounted pots that came with the Green Pony, I thought mounting that PCB was going to require some engineering. But a quick glance at the 27v Boost PCB, I had a “light bulb above the head” moment. A popsicle stick and some 10 minute epoxy and I was in business! I just epoxied the foot switch directly to the PCB. Now it is all boxed up, spit shined and ready to rock!
Thanks for looking!
