As some of you know, I have been dealing with some health issues over the past 6 years. I am on a journey to attempt to correct them. I have lost nearly 30 pounds in the past 4 months by simply cutting out sugar and eating proper food. I am also conscious of eating foods that will not cause added inflammation, as well as introducing anti-inflammatory foods and herbs to my daily diet.

In a few days I will be testing out some new drugs as well to help with my PsA and Fibromyalgia. It is not my first instinct but I am at that crossroads with 24/7 pain and inflammation. It is kind of like having the aches and pains throughout your entire body that you would experience from a bad FLU except that it never goes away or gives you any kind of a break. I have already tried the extremely limited options available to me for pain relief and none of them help, especially not without awful side effects.

So the point of me saying this is I will need some extra help in the forum to assist others with build issues or just offer ideas. Any member here is welcome to do this. You can use my Resistor Color Code cards to check for resistor errors and be an Eagle Eye!

I am also considering adding an extra Moderator here as well. If you are interested in this, please contact me using the “Contact Me Form” in the Main Menu Bar above under LINKS.

As for GuitarPCB business orders, nobody has anything to worry about as I have all of that covered and, as a matter of fact, the more orders the better, since my personal costs are going to increase starting next week due to more tests, with accompanying co-pays and drugs etc.. I do have help here and I will be able to get orders out quickly, as always.

    Thank you for supporting GuitarPCB!

Sorry to hear about your health issues, Barry. It sounds like you are on the right track with diet and weight loss. Good luck with the new drugs. I hope they work well and bring you comfort and peace of mind.

    Best wishes,

    Ken

Yes, Barry I will try to help out to the best of my abilities when I can, but I am more limited in my abilities than many other true experts here.

I too have been going through some issues as well. I can’t play guitar much now due to a chronic wrist condition that gives me a lot of pain in my fretting wrist/hand (De Quervains tenosynovitis).  I am due to get a second corticosteroid injection this Monday.  If it doesn’t cure it, I will be in for surgery, which I am trying to avoid.  I also had a recent ER visit for a kidney stone.  Never had one before but I pretty much knew what it was – severe unrelenting right lower quadrant and flank pain and since I had an appendectomy years ago an appendicitis was not in the differential diagnosis.  Also been spending a lot of childcare duties with a 4-5 month old (6 weeks in the last 2 months) due to various issues including a death in the family.  I am completely exhausted as the grandchild is much more work than my two children ever were.  It is hell getting old and definitely not for sissies.

I have not had time t work on my current pedal project in several weeks, but glance at the board fairly often to see if I can help out in any way.  I think there are really good people who contribute to this board and should have your back.

    Barry,

I hope the treatment offers you some relief, without the nasty side-effects. It’s easy to become gun-shy with new treatment options after dealing with such things.

You’ve got a really great team of moderators, and MyBud is a solid addition to that team.

Now that my vacation is over, I will be able to provide more assistance as well. Hang tough, Barry!  I know Brennan will be helping too.

I’ll always wait for Billy when we need an eagle eye to spot wrong resistor values.  He’s much better at that!  Cheers, Mate!
