I’m looking to build the Fuzzstortion today, and I have neither PF5102 or MPSA13 transistors for Q1 & Q2. I have a few J201 and 2N5457 I could maybe try for Q1, but not sure of a suitable sub for the MPSA13 in Q2.
Mouser carries PF5102 and MPSA13 both for under .40 each and offer 1st Class shipping in the US so you can probably grab them at other outlets.
MPSA13 is a good choice in other builds as well.
Google Datasheets, check specs and pinout if you want to try something else and be sure to socket.
Thanks Barry. I have both in my cart already from a good source, just not in my hands. I will do the build and socket what I have here with similar pinouts. Just want to get as close as possible to the callout specs.
