This combo is amazing! It really is. I don’t usually start off saying that but I am amazed how well everything plays together. Combos can be hit or miss at times but this one worked out great. And with luck it fired up with no issue. I could think this one up but I sure couldn’t wire it up without drawing it out. Firstly, all are true bypassed via stomp. Power is supplied by a single DC jack and dispersed various ways. I used the 3PDT Vari-Brite for each for intensity adjustability. So the signal comes in and immediately meets a couple of choices. If dirt is going to be used then ‘let’s dance’ is selected by dance foot and a choice of either ‘pop’ (the ODC board) or ‘rock’ (the PUTB) via a toggle named ‘changes’, needs to be selected by hand. These are not stackable. If you plan on using the faser, as well, then the ‘starman’ is launched (The Vibe board) but meets another toggle choice to make. The ‘fashion’ switch points the direction of flow choice and determines whether the dirt comes first or the faser. Definitely different and for sure worth trying out. In case you chose dirt last, you might not want to go directly to the reverb, ‘space oddity’ (Ancestral Apparition), so I added a loop between the output of the Easy Order Switching PCB and the input to the 3PDT board that controls the verb. Then you have and entire world between the distortion and the reverb available. The AA reverb is remarkably clear and sparkly, and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Very deep and wide and the echoes are a huge bonus. I didn’t have a DR. Phybes pcb on hand so I used the Vibe board and subbed in the 6 components that make it a phaser. Primo without mods too. And who knew the Tone Bender didn’t mind going after the phaser? It’s very cool as is the ODC, renamed Anxiety Disorder Drive. I couldn’t be happier. This one is dedicated to my son, Christofer, and will be given to him tonight. He is visiting this week and flies home tomorrow so the timing worked out great too. Introducing Funk to Funky.I fumbled over a theme for Chris’s pedal for a long time. His brothers all got a pedal from dad but not him. I couldn’t figure it out. Then recently I stumbled over the pic online of Bowie with the cat in the lap, and suddenly knew where to start. Combos rule.

Thanks very much guys. Yeah, I forgot to mention that I read that Bowie liked to listen to Frank Sinatra, so I was able to lean Frank up against the phonograph leg. The original pic that I found for the inspiration was Bowie seated with the cat and cigarette. The rest, including the smoke, I was able to find surfing around, even the mouse. I was fortunate to be able to stick to the single color scheme, even with Sinatra. My son is a spiffy dresser so I wanted this to stay classy, and it fits with the all white Cort strat I bought about a year ago. Yeah the old plywood kind. I was awesome tho in several ways, but after I got it home it just reminded me of Chris and would look great hanging from his neck, I thought, so I sent it to him. This will be a good follow up.

I’ll pass along an experiment from this pedal that worked out. I drilled for 3mm LEDs and then decided I wanted them to stay beneath the waterslide, so I filed and sanded them flat across the top not knowing if I would just ruin them. I worked great and the flat surface was able to meet up with the label pretty well. There are 3-4 top coats of clear. I’m relying on the solder joints to hold it them in place instead of superglue. We’ll see. All in all making less rookie mistakes this time was nice.
