Effects loop mod for d'lay

Hey everyone, just wanted to get an opinion from some people who are a little more engineer minded than I am.

I was thinking of making a tricked out d’lay with everything the build document suggests, but was also thinking about the possibility of adding an effects loop. I was going to insert the loop off of the wiper of the repeats pot and use switched jacks so that the loop is closed when nothing is inserted. One thing I was wondering, and people elsewhere in past posts seemed split on was whether a buffer was needed. Just wanted to see what everyone here thought, or to see if this is one of those things where it wouldnt matter what I did with it. Thanks for any and all input!

I do not see where you could go wrong using a buffer.
