This Dual Combo throws the Gypsy Fuzz and the VIBE in the same pedal, and it really feels like one of those rigs you can just live on all night. The fuzz has that touchy, ride-your-volume-knob thing going on—roll it back and it cleans up without getting thin, dig in and it just rips. Kick the VIBE in and suddenly everything gets that chewy, swirling movement underneath, the kind of thing that makes you play differently without even thinking about it. Flip the order switch and it’s like a whole different pedal — same pieces, totally new feel.

The Gypsy Fuzz on its own is all attitude. It’s not just a wall of fuzz—it breathes with your picking, reacts to how hard you hit the strings, and backs off nicely when you ease up. It’s one of those sounds where you end up using your guitar controls way more than you expected, because it actually matters.

The VIBE side is where things get hypnotic. You can keep it subtle for a little motion under your tone, or crank it into that thick, syrupy swirl that almost feels like it’s pulling the notes around. The controls are straightforward, so you’re not fighting it—you just dial until it feels right and go.

Having the order switch right there is huge. Fuzz into VIBE is smooth and wide, while VIBE into fuzz gets a little wilder and more textured. It’s the kind of setup where you hit one switch and suddenly you’re in a different headspace without touching anything else.

I chose the “drill it yourself” faceplate as I wanted to use 3mm LED’s instead of 5mm ones. I used E6000 glue to hold it in place, and then let it cure overnight. Center punching and drilling, following Barry’s guide to drill sizes etc., produced an impeccable result with almost no effort on my part! What a great way to finish off a great pedal! Thanks Barry for making finishing off a build so easy and affordable!
