Slightly modded an NT Singles Compressor.
Decided I might want to use it with my bass, so added a switch with the stock and a 220n cap.
Any space I could fit a toggle on the front was within easy kicking range. So some not-quite-precise-enough layout (I love you, Dykem), a few extra holes, and then some careful work with some jewler’s files applied a slide switch to the lower face. If I were to do it again (and pay closer attention) I’d put it on the other side.
Tried changing the attack switch to a 200k 9mm pot I had laying around but it decided not to play ball. So went back to the switch; I’ll stencil on the appropriate setting labels later.
Not a huge deal; the switchable resistors are socketed. I’ll experiment around with those.
Much simpler visual design than some of my previous pedals. Again, trying to use up some of the paint cans I’ve got rolling around.
Thank you much. Would be even better if I hadn’t dropped it onto my cutters.
I have taken to writing the PCB name, what it’s based on if I can find out, and any mods and/or the stock values on the inside of the cover.
Will help troubleshoot when I inevitably kick it or something later, or if I give one away as a secret Santa at work.
Haven’t done that lately, but a much-modded Rat has gotten some stage time in a coworker’s band.
