On page 3 of the Roto-Tone Deluxe build doc, it shows how to connect a DPDT switch so that “a  total of EIGHT different options are available!”. Does that mean it can be used for eight different diode clipping options if needed? I’ve been poking around with a DMM and  a couple of socketed LED’s and just can’t quite wrap my head around it. Thanks in advance!

Yes that’s correct. 4 with the A/C toggle position and another 4 with the B/D position. I hadn’t seen that before. My mind is expanding at this very moment. I love this hobby.

    YES and NO!

SInce you asked, I went back and took another look at the build doc.  The information I wrote there is correct.  If you mount a component (or diode pair, for example) between the A and C pads and mount another between the B and D pads, you can have 8 different selections available if you use a standard On-ON DPDT switch as shown.

But, I know that we can use a three position DPDT ON-ON-ON switch to give us another signal path.  If you mount an additional component between A and B, (it will require stacking) you can gain an additional 4 options with the ROTOTONE DELUXE.

Therefore, in truth, you can actually use the ROTOTONE DELUXE with the proper DPDT switch to provide TWELVE (12) switching options.

    Thanks for correcting me.
