A complete “Cornish Style” pedal board made by Dave Raehn using GuitarPCB Circuits (Hand Etched) by Barry.
The sounds are as you would expect. Winner of the GuitarPCB Combo Contest (2011).
Dave Raehn: Here is my submission for this year’s competition. In an effort to protect the production rights and reputations of others I will just call it an Animal Board. It has been over a year since I started planning this monster and I have gained vast insight from GuitarPCB.com. Whether by finding an effect that sounds good or by listening and contributing to the discussions on the forum, the website and the community behind it have helped me work through a lot of research and development. So here goes. Keep in mind this is my first effect build (really), even though it has taken over a year to get to this point…

There are two guitar inputs selectable by the first footswitch.A tuner is built into the board.After the MORC is a send/return loop for a WAH.After the ColorTone is a send/return for a Volume pedal.After the D’LAY will be a 4-way splitter for individual outputs. (not yet completed)Indicator LEDs are powered by a separate power circuit and dimmed by a pot on the back of the enclosure.Mains power interface and power supply, due to their inherent danger, are not discussed on this forum and will not be explained.Cabinet is of ½” nominal plywood and ¾” maple board.Controls mounting material is an old street sign.Power and in/out panel was a 2 space rack-mount blank plate.Footswitches are mounted to steel washers sandwiched between the main board and wooden ‘doughnuts’.Circuit boards are edge-captured in ‘snap track’ to prevent damage.The send/return arrangements use divorcing jacks on the send side so the unit will be functional without anything plugged into the loop.Pardon the wiring. My wire management skills are a bit rusty but I know that the next one of these will be much neater.For the labeling I dug out an old ‘embossing’ labeler for the vintage look.Learn all about COMBO BUILDS

What are the circuits used here- or at least an overview of the effects included? This is really something else!
A/B switch – GuitarPCB Silent Tuner (feeding Ibanez tuner) – GuitarPCB Modified Ross Compressor (MoRC) – Send/Return for Dunlop Wah – GuitarPCB Zenith Drive – GuitarPCB R2G2 (G-02 Animal) – GuitarPCB Lunar Fuzz (D.S.O.T.M.) – GuitarPCB GBOM Ram’s Head (MUFF’n) – GuitarPCB Colortone Overdriver – Send/Return for VP Jr. Volume Pedal – GuitarPCB D’lay – 4 output splitter – This unit also has brightness control for indicator LEDs to suit different venues.
It is nice. I remember etching all those boards back in the day very well.
Never again will I be doing that, LOL.
