Voodoo Redux not Vibing (Solved)

Built the super cool Voodoo Redux but the LED that sends light to the LDRs does not pulse. Its only on. The LDRs work as they should.

What components should I check that controll the white LED.  Also a note the LDRs were significantly below the light “filament of the LED and I had to bend them upwards so that they there receive light.

Did you try adjusting the trimmer in small increments if you have

You want to check the LFO section below, I’m not familiar with the circuit it looks similar to the univibe, looking at the schematic I’d first check you get a pulsing voltage on Q5 collector

Post some nice clear in focus images of you pcb so that all component values and orientation can be seen

Be sure your Rate and Intensity are not cranked. I have personally built a ton of these and the LED always pulses no matter what. Since your LED is lit it rules out the LED. I would then suggest searching for a bad value.

I am not sure what you mean about the LDRs. They should be installed in the manner shown in the build doc photos. Did you make any substitutions at all?

Thanks Barry,

One of the electrolytic caps had the wrong value and 2 resistors as well. I must have been asleep at the wheel.
