This is the second Stage 3 Booster I have built. I couldn’t see where I posted the first version (I built it 2 years ago) so today will be a two for one! This is a great little boost box that takes up very little real estate on ones pedal board. It is ultra transparent and definitely sounds better in tandem with one or more pedals. The first build I opted not to use the “tight” mode due to not having a suitable switch at the time. This go around I did the “tight” mode and really liked the results. So much so the I also did the mode to my older version.
    As always, thanks for looking!

First one I built two years ago.

    Latest build.

Nice! Being that you built two, I take that you like it? I was looking at dropping one into a combo build.

One of my favorite “always on” Tone Boosters.

The NostalgiTone Ascension Boost is the current iteration of the Stage 3 Booster for anyone interested.

    Thanks for sharing.

I bought a handful of Ascension Boosts along with Dual Combo Creators.

    Barry:

On the Ascension Boost, can I use a Mod board and switch between “Tight” and “All Frequencies” by jumpering C3, like on the Stage 3 Booster? So 10n and 220n?

Absolutely, and I would encourage it.

Curious, what’s the end difference between the Ascension versus something like the PreAmp Boost?
Just a different circuit, or does it work different tonally?

I love me some Stage 3 too. I put that **** in everything. Nice looker Steve.

MathU41, They both invert the signal if that is important. Otherwise different, and a large (too large to inject in someone else’s post) rabbit hole , but well worth investigating.
