    my latest build.

    PUFF

I am going to swap out the trim pot for an external 10k pot tomorrow, and I’ll add a hole to the enclosure.

Sam, it looks like you built this using one of our kits at Pedal Parts and Kits. The potentiometers are supposed to be PCB-mount with pins, not solder lug. Did we send you the wrong pots? Looks like maybe we did. You can use the solder lug-style ones, but they should be wired so that the PCB lays flat. It looks like the lugs are soldered directly to the PCB. Please let me know. If we send the wrong pots, I’ll be happy to send you the correct ones. Please let me know.

    Thanks,

    Bruce

For most of my Ge transistor pedal builds I converted the bias trimmer to an external bias and then I tend to “trim” the bias by ear.  These include a Rangemaster, Ge Fuzz Face, hybrid Ge Si Fuzz Face, and a Tonebender MkII.
